Q. Do you microchip your puppies?

Q.  What is a microchip?

A. A microchip is a radio-frequency identification transponder that carries a unique identification number, and is roughly the size of a grain of rice. When the microchip is scanned by a veterinary clinic or animal shelter, it transmits the ID number. There’s no battery, no power required, and no moving parts. The microchip is injected under the loose skin between your dog’s shoulder blades.

Q. How can you register your new puppy's microchip?

A. New puppy owner's can register their microchip here.

Q. Are Cockapoos hypoallergenic?

A. Although Cockapoos are typically touted as hypoallergenic dogs because of the poodle gene, and will shed less than a Cocker Spaniel, it is still possible to react to the dander or saliva.

A. We feed our dogs and puppies Royal Canin. It is readily available at many speciality pet supply retailers across Canada.

A. The stud is a Medium Poodle and he weighs 15 lbs.

Q. Do the puppies come vaccinated?

A. DHPP vaccine is administered by our Veterinarian at 8 weeks of age. DHPP is a core vaccine. This means that all dogs should receive this vaccine, regardless of their lifestyle or individual risk. It is important to follow the vaccination schedule that your Veterinarian recommends.

Q. Are your puppies house trained?

A. We send our puppies home at 8 weeks of age. At this age the puppies have small and weak bladders so they urinate frequently. The puppies will be introduced to pee pads around 4 weeks of age and we are happy to provide a bathroom and feeding schedule to follow that will be similar to the one we raise the puppies on.

Q. At what age are the puppies ready to go their new home?

A. Although some puppies wean quickly, some litters may require more time to wean from the Mother's milk to dry puppy food. Each litter is unique but typically at 8 weeks of age the puppy is fully weaned and ready to leave the mother.

Q. How many litters do you breed per year?

A. Our selective breeding program produces 6-8 litters a year.
